Sumeet Releases First Single with Elephant Man Words: Davae Williams
The CD is an extended maxi single, that features five tracks: 1. Radio Edit f. Elephant Man 2. Hot Curry Remix f. Harv Singh 3. Deeper Era Remix 4. Q It Up Remix f. Broadway 5. 2-Step Remix With a running time of over ninteen minutes, and a cost of only $3, this is viewed by many in the industry as a break from the norm. "No question, people don't buy singles the way they used to," a representavive from her management states. "But we're establishing Sumeet as a genuine artist who makes genuine music. Three dollars is a fair price for anyone to pay." Sumeet is the most pleasant of vocal surprises to come straight out of the Canadian backcountry. Determined to follow her dream, she found herself in New York City where she met her current management/production team Davae Williams. Sumeet notes artists such as Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and Angie Stone as some of her inspirations, and she tries to approach her music with the same down-to-earth elegance. "This is an independent release," her management says. "The next step is for us to secure a national distributor for the single." With minimal promotion thus far, "Agony" has been snowballing to popularity, as a simple search on Google or Yahoo yields the song on playlists as far out as Germany and China. Recently at a show in New Jersey, over 1000 people wacthed as Sumeet performed. "I was overwhelmed!" She says. "So many people knew the song. I was surprised when I heard people singing along with me!" Sumeet will be at Lauhn's in New York City next on August 15th. The single is on sale now with a full preview and snippets of every track at: http://www.sumeetmusic.com "It's a quality product that is really worth much more than $3," her management says. "We are hope people will appreciate that, and help support her." For more information visit: http://www.sumeetmusic.com :: Manhunt*com will be assisting Hope Gardens in it's 2nd Annual Food Outreach.
